As part of our ‘Renovation Review’ blog series we will be revisiting some of our previous projects to get a feel for how our clients have settled in to their spaces and what their thoughts are a few years on from project completion.
This month we are featuring a project we completed 4 yrs ago in Leederville. Retreat Design renovated this kitchen in 2016 for our client who wanted a stylish & classic looking space which was sympathetic to the era of their home. Using Arrital ‘Village’ cabinetry with polished handles, a Falcon freestanding oven and a statement butlers sink, we achieved a contemporary looking kitchen that ties in perfectly with the character features of the home.
For full project images please see the portfolio page here.
We’d like to thank our clients for allowing us to review their renovation and for answering these questions so openly. We hope you find this information helpful when planning any new projects.
The location of the dishwasher to the sink as well as the location of the fridge to the entire kitchen. I also love the swinging shelves which pull out right next to the cooker, great suggestion by Steve as extremely functional.
Yes, I am still happy with the design choices. I would not have changed anything.
Yes, all of the time.
I love it all and it is worth every cent. I love the bench top and the cupboards. I am also happy that I spent the extra on getting the cooker that I wanted.
Be prepared for things to go wrong and to think outside the box. We had issues with my chimney space and we had to get creative. I love how it turned out, the pain is worth it.
