CLAREMONT

Completed earlier this year, this gorgeous kitchen extension for a local interior designer featured heavy lashings of Fenix© contrasted against white laminate and dark wood effect wall cabinetry. The result was a kitchen space you just can’t take your eyes off with so many details to absorb and enjoy.

The island benchtop was a moulded candy white HiMacs with the moulding wrapped around the steel breakfast bar legs to create the feeling that it was a single piece of cabinetry furniture. In addition, the overextended breakfast bar sits proud of the island cabinetry, resulting in a substantial sitting space to catch up and unwind. Leaving the breakfast bar clear from cook tops and sinks allowed the area to be unencumbered for meal preparation. Coupled with double stacked appliances, this kitchen was designed for hassle free entertaining.

The white island was contrasted against black Fenix cabinetry along the back wall with Dekton‘s sirus finish large format porcelain benchtop. Designing the kitchen into distinctive monocoloured areas created a sense that the space was made up of single pieces of furniture rather than individual cabinetry units.

A simple white scullery and separate laundry area were located at the rear of the kitchen. Including a second sink and dishwasher in the scullery ensured maximum functionality for this kitchen extension.
