Renovate or Relocate in 2020?

renovate or relocate 2020

After an initial positive start to 2020, Australia has been hit with the COVID-19 bombshell and everything that comes along with it. Fear, uncertainty, a diving property market and of course, much more time spent at home.

According to ABC’s 7.30 report “Analysts say property prices could fall between 15 and 30 per cent”. Plans to sell and relocate have likely been put on hold unless absolutely necessary with properties in some locations having to discount heavily. Families have had to adapt to more people in the house at any one time and this in turn, brings up questions such as ‘Is my home big enough?’ …’Does my kitchen function well?’ …’How dated are my kitchens and bathrooms?’ ….’Could we refresh this space?’

With interest rates at an all time low, perhaps now is the time to borrow and renovate your existing home rather than opting for the huge expense and stress of moving altogether. Here at Retreat Design we have seen many clients recently who’ve had enough of their current interior and the Coronavirus isolation period has simply brought that to the fore. Whilst not to downplay the logistics involved in a home renovation, it is possible to upgrade your current kitchen and add value to your home if you are clever with planning and design.

That’s where Retreat Design can help you get best bang for your buck and manage a project which upgrades your home and your way of life.

Give us a call today to arrange a free design consultation with one of our qualified Interior Designers on (08) 6101 1190 or drop in to the showroom at 307 Hay St, Subiaco.
