At Retreat Design, we have exclusive access to a world of Italian cabinetry that is not otherwise provided in Western Australia. Our standard door thickness starts at 20mm, ranging up to 26mm thick in some collections, making the sturdiness of our cabinetry indisputable. We also have a large range of sophisticated handleless look solutions on offer, capable of giving another level of distinction and interest to any space. On top of this, the technologies used to finish our doors and drawers cannot be replicated by local manufacturers; cabinetry finishes such as lacquer, render, porcelain, glass and stainless steel are completely specific to our Italian importers. We pride ourselves on being highly competitive in pricing with local cabinetmakers, whilst still catering to the bespoke requirements of the spaces we encounter. Our standard package includes an obligation free consultation, modelling and quotation process with one of our interior designers, a comprehensive set of shop drawings that outline the exact dimensions and locations of your cabinetry and other accessories, a detailed site measure to ensure cabinetry is built to specification and three consistent points of contact throughout the duration of the project. We strive to deliver each project on budget and on time, every time. Whilst we have previously been thought of as ‘high-end’ this is not the case. Our suppliers such as Arredo3 and Arrital have some highly competitive options to suit any budget no matter how small!

When you select Retreat Design as your cabinetmaker, you are dealing with a company that has been in the market for 13 years; we have seen and done it all! We provide formally qualified Interior Designers to work with you on the look and feel of your project, and a team of cabinetmakers to physically bring your project to life. Our staff are well versed in the cabinetry systems and know their possibilities and limitations, meaning we are equipped to provide a smooth pathway to a functional and attractive final outcome. While we are confident that our premium product will provide you with years of use to come, all of our projects are backed by a full care and warranty package.

The Nitty Gritty….

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS THAT SET US APART:

• All kitchen carcasses are made from Green&Pool© chipboard panels, which are sourced from sustainably managed forests and are FSC certified. These panels are water repellent and are lined with double melamine 120g plus barrier paper, ensuring longevity and rigidity over time.
• All kitchen carcasses are made from Class E1 low emission formaldehyde chipboard and hold a Greenguard Certificate of Compliance.
• Cabinetry door faces and panels range from 20mm to 26mm depending on the range and finish, superior to the standard 16-18mmmm industry average.
• Soft close European mechanisms are a standard across all cabinetry, with all hardware being sourced from Blum or Grass. There is also the option for some units to come equipped with an electronic servo drive to open and close.
• Cabinetry drawers have a decelerating closing system with a bearing capacity of up to 65kg. The runners used in the drawers are certified for 100,000 openings.
• All cabinetry plinths are aluminium faced, making them sturdy and highly water resistant. These are also able to be clipped on or off as needed.
• The feet across all kitchen cabinetry have an adjustable connection with a range from 5mm to 20mm and a bearing capacity for each foot of 100kg.
• All appliance housing is specifically built to meet individual manufacturer’s guidelines.
