This gorgeous kitchen extension for a local interior designer featured heavy lashings of Fenix© contrasted against white laminate and dark wood effect wall cabinetry. The result was a kitchen space you just can’t take your eyes off with so many details to absorb and enjoy.
When a designer considers updating areas within a traditional home, the process must be undertaken with respect for the original structure whilst also ensuring capital spent on improvements really does add value to the property and to the way the client enjoys their home. This kitchen in West Leederville had access to wonderful natural light which was brought to life by maintaining a window as well removing some non structural walls to open up the space. White cabinetry with oak highlights, coupled with natural marble helped modernise this wonderful cottage whilst being paying homage to the home’s history.
Another kitchen renovation that benefited from wonderful natural light in the living space was an older federation style home in Ingelwood that received an amazing modern transformation to the kitchen. White cabinetry with a bronzed mirror splash back for a subtle wow factor helped create a simple, elegant kitchen. Strip lighting under the cabinetry kick plates creates ambience in the evening. Often clients chat to one of our designers over a period of time and a project morphs from a simple kitchen renovation into a larger scale home renovation. We often partner with registered builders when a project ends up with significant building works and have established relationships with builders over our 10 years in business. One such project was a renovation in Cottesloe that was completed in early 2017. The client’s wanted extensive work done to their home and engaged Retreat Design to provide the cabinetry and associated products along with Mike from Chartwell Construction to do the building works. All three parties worked really well and the end result was a spectacular home, ready to take a local family on the next stage of their life journey.
